Philips DPM8000 Doctor & Lawyer Dictation Recorder w/Thumb Slide Control

Being the ONLY digital dictation recorder in the world to completely imitate the functions of a old recorder, the dictation machine 8000 has that familiar feel you've grown accustomed to. From the slide control, to the image of a moving cassette on the screen, you will know instinctively how to work with this unit. The Philips 8000 is a "High End Dictation Recorder" with top of the line features. Most of them are simple to use for doctors and lawyers.

This recorder works especially well with Dragon voice recognition. If you are buying more than 10 of these recorders Martel can load in your company's logo directly into the recorder. The Philips DPM 8000 simply transfers your dictations automatically when placed in its charging/docking cradle. With real time 256-bit data encryption, the DPM 8000 provides a very high degree of advanced security features and has even been approved for (HIPAA medical use). reviews of this doctors dictation were not wrong, its amazing

Posted by W. Elliot on 8th Feb 2015

The Doctors dictation equipment I ordered from this site is the simplest to use. It reminds me allot of my Lanier 160 dictation recorder. I really enjoy the auto downloading and routing to the medical transcriptionist. This one features cuts around 30 minutes out of my routine. I even use it now to record canferernces when I travel to seminars. If you are in the field you know how expensive admission is to these events. Its almost impossible to take in and absorb all the information given. Now I just record the conference and listen back on the plane and when I get home. The audio is truly remarkable.

got the going digital dictation information guide today

Posted by Kyle P. on 13th Nov 2014

So my law firm decided to go with the Martel 8000. We have been very pleased with the features. I would have never known this recorder existed if I haven't had read the dictation guide. We bought twelve dpm8000 combo packages with the all n one transcription software for 4 offices. The best part is the automatic file movement to the secretaries. I am glad I called the 800 number I was able to negotiate a sweet deal for the 12 dictation/transcription packages.

The guide to going digital dictation really helped me at my law firm. The dictation recorder we got from Martel really speeds up the voice processing. We even added the Dragon lawyers professional edition and now we are using the dictation recorder and dragon together to get accurate documents.

Emailed Martel about the Doctors guide to going digital dictation

Posted by Jay E. on 8th Sep 2014

Martel has a nice little guide that helps small practices introduce digital dictation into the doctor practice. The guide was just implemented in july 2014. It takes you step by step, turnkey into making the correct purchase of a dictation system. Thanks

Dictation equipment that I can actually use

Posted by Maggie P. on 7th Sep 2014

I had bought what I thought was a dictation machine from a huge office store and it turned out to be a voice recorder. I could not rewind or even append my dictating recordings. I researched and found that there was real dictation equipment out there and I found it on this site. I love how easy it is to use. I should have started out with a professional dictation machine from the beginning.

The doctors dictation recorder with rewind, cue and review

Posted by Matthew on 5th Aug 2014

I have bought several cheap dictation equipment recorders from office stores near me. None of them offered the ability to rewind. This is the only feature I needed in the dictation equipment. Doctors and small practices need to know this information, that there is a dictation recorder with cue and review out there that is digital. The only downside is its a little expensive but worth it. I give it a 4 star reviews because of the price only. I wish it was cheaper.

    Sweet Doctors dictation equipment

Posted by Tarpon Springs, Florida on 3rd Aug 2014

I found this special recorder for our medical practice. It was a little expensive but worth the extra money. The dictation files are Hipaa compliant which means the dictation equipment works for the new privacy laws. The doctors recorder is fabulous.

Doctors dictation equipment and how its changed our practice integration with dragon voice recognition

Posted by Kerry on 21st Jul 2014

Before we went to buy a doctors dictation recorder we had a few requirements. The first was that it had to be digital. The whole medical field now uses New! Dragon Medical Practice Edition 2. THe Dragon Medical Practice Edition is used BY OVER 180,000 doctors in healthcare clinics, practices, and hospitals around the globe. The voice recognition software for doctors let use make easy templates to report into. Now we could get Accelerates EHR adoption for our office. Now we had better, accurate documentation for coding effectiveness and provides more detail per patient, giving clinicians greater confidence to code at higher levels than with an EHR system by itself. When the practice gets higher volumes we need to increase our efficient. The second thing we were looking for was a physicians dictation recorder that worked just like a tape recorder with rewind and cue and review, so he could correct his own mistakes on the fly with the recorder. We found that device on this site and it allowed us to download and start the dragon hospital practice edition automatically. The best part of the doctors dictation machine is that it is completely mobile, he takes it where he is going and never complains about carrying it around. If you want more information about doctors dictation recorders and how they are used today go here. <a href="http://www.martelelectronics.com/blog/doctors-specialized-needs-in-a-digital-dictation-recorder-hipaa-compliance/">Doctors dictation recorder informational</a>

Doctors dictation recorder and how this unit is different from all the others on the web

Posted by Terry on 15th Jul 2014

So the unique feature made for doctors is the digital dictation recorder. Its perfectly made for the special needs of a physician. When I am talking about needs I mean the government Hippa laws. Martel includes special doctor software which locks the files from the outside world. When the files are transferred to either the transcriptionist to the dragon medical edition the are locked with a 256-bit encryption. This unique software ensures the doctor is in compliance with the federal government act for privacy. This doctors dictation special package includes that special software PC digital dictation and transcription foot pedal systems and software for medical transcription, dictation. If you need more information about the special rules that government the doctors go to <a href="http://www.martelelectronics.com/blog/doctors-specialized-needs-in-a-digital-dictation-recorder-hipaa-compliance/">VDoctors dictation recorder specialized needs</a>. Its the only place you can get this information.

Doctors dictation equipment that is Hipaa certified information

Posted by Monica on 29th Jun 2014

We have a small doctors practice and we have been using the lanier dictation equipment with tapes for years now. I have been searching for a digital dictation recorder that acts like a tape recorder for my doctor. He wont use digital dictation equipment because its too difficult for him. This recorder is the solution. Its just like his lanier tape recorder with a slide control on the side. The recorder is also hipaa compliant and comes with all the software the company provided to us. The files are now moved directly to our transcriptionist and the dictation files are transcribed faster than ever. if you are a small doctors office and need a digital dictation machine equipment this recorder is the recorder for you. Simple.

greatest dictation recorder of all time I cant believe its not a tape recorder

Posted by Ed J. on 4th Jun 2014

We were switching over to digital recorder in my legal department when I came across this digital tape recorder. Well its not a tape recorder but its all digital with a tape recorder display. I called Martel and the gentleman told me that is works the same way our tape recorders worked with rewind and record on a slide switch\control. We were sold, and now our law office exclusively uses the Martel pro dictation machine. They even tech supported me by telephone to get the software installed and set up properly.
