This is a very simple small Sony digital recorder that fits nicely into our black leather small carrying case with a hidden pen microphone.

On the side is a microphone that looks like a ball point pen, but in reality it's a microphone that is connected by a small wire in the case to the Sony court reporter recorder. There are a lot of court reporters who need a back up recorder but don't want to lay a voice recorder on the table. This is the solution. You can hit record before you enter the deposition and lay the attractive leather case down by your computer and all the voices will be picked up by the pen looking microphone. No one will be the wiser. The recorder has easy to use buttons.

The concealed court reporter Sony recorder can record up to 1073 hours of voice recordings. You can buy additional external memory cards and record thousands of hours more. Once you are done recording you can connect to a computer via a USB cable, supplied, to download the files and email to a scopist.  You can record 49 hours on 2 AAA batteries. That is a lot of time.
