Description

As the most powerful microphone on the market, the HGM-1 will get you at least triple the audio pickup of the lesser microphones. Most computers and tape recorders come with an inexpensive microphone that will only pickup voices from 2 to 3 feet. There's a number of reasons for this, such as lack of power to the jack where you plug the microphone in. If your microphone doesn't use a battery, then its made for dictating (speaking within 2-3 feet of it). The HGM-1 utilizes a hi-power battery which lasts 600 hours and allows the microphone to actually track voices up to 45 feet away while filtering out background noise such as air conditioning & paper shuffling.

What makes the HGM-1 court reporter microphone so special? The Court Reporter Microphone utilizes a hearing aid IC chip to actively track the human voice making it the #1 selling court reporting microphone in the world. The software in this Court Reporter Microphone raises the human voice and lowers the back ground noise. This is extremely important when you are scoping to understand what is being said.

High Gain Court Reporter Microphone, 2/14/2013

Posted by sherry marshall (saint louis, MO) on 4th Feb 2014

I have ordered this Court Reporter Microphone before from your company. I think the quality of this mic is the best out there. It is true when it says, picks up voice from 75 feet away!!! I wouldn't want to be without this mic in my courtroom. Also, seems to still work quite well even though I've needed to change the batteries sooner. Please, please keep making this mic. Thank you. Blessings Sherry

    Best Court Reporting Microphone, 1/28/2013

This is the best microphone I've ever used. It's saved me many times during technical doctors' depositions where I want to double check that I've written the correct medical term. I would never report without this microphone!

Amazing HGM-1 Court Reporting Microphone, 1/7/2013

Posted by Theresa Aguilar (Thatcher, AZ) on 4th Feb 2014

I have been using my HGM-1 on my new Diamante machine for the last five months. It has worked wonderfully. Very clear recording. Today I ordered two more to use on my laptops in the courtroom and in chambers. The difference in the quality of recording from the microphone I have been using is phenomenal.

I've been using an HGM-1 for five years and have never been disappointed with the quality. Sounds very clear which can be helpful when people are talking over each other. I wouldn't leave home without it.

Excellent Audio - "Court Reporter Microphone", 12/11/2012

Posted by Veronica Morrill (Auburn, ME) on 4th Feb 2014

I have been using a Martel microphone with my laptop AudioSync for over seven years. The recording quality is excellent. You will not be disappointed by this product! I also just purchased the microphone stand. I've been clipping my mic to a business card and placing it in the center of the conference table, but I find sometimes attorneys will place their papers over it. This little gadget should alleviate that annoyance!

    Love my Martel HGM-1, 11/30/2012

I've used other companies' microphones in the past. What a mistake! The HGM-1 is a great microphone that records clearly to my laptop so I can use the AudioSync in Eclipse. I also like that it has an on/off switch to conserve battery use. It's a great microphone for the money. I understand now there's even one with a battery life indicator. THAT will be my next purchase. But for the past two years and even now, this HGM-1 is still working great. I do recommend buying an extension wire (item #226) and filter ( item #1603) to go with it.

Best audiosync microphone I've used, 8/30/2012

I use the HGM-1 microphone to record to my computer, and it makes a fabulously clear recording and has a good range. It's been worth every penny. I've recommended this mike many times to other court reporters. As long as you're careful with the cord and don't wrap it too tightly for storage, the microphone should last many years. I've had mine for maybe 10+ years.

Best Court Reporter Microphone on the Market, 6/25/2012

Posted by Cindy McKinney (Belleville, IL) on 4th Feb 2014

I just purchased my second microphone after 6 years of use from my first HGM-1 microphone (or whatever the code number would have been at that time). The quality of sound is the absolute best in the industry, and it gives a very crisp, clean and clear recording. It's perfect for use with Steno machines.

Great Little Microphone (Court Reporter Microphone), 6/7/2012

Posted by Maxine Cleeton (Brentwood, TN) on 4th Feb 2014

I have had two of the HGM-2 microphones for at least five years each and have always gotten great recordings. The batteries last forever! And the bendable tripod that comes with it is really nice to get away from tapping fingers on the table being recorded.

I had my first HGM-1 for over five years. It worked great with my Fusion and now my Diamonte. I am buying a second one now to have as a spare. Picks up voices from long distances in courtrooms.

    Awesome Steno Reporter microphone, 2/7/2012

Posted by Anne Horner (Westover, MD) on 4th Feb 2014

This microphone works great. The battery lasts a long time and is not expensive to replace at all. The audio is amazing and picks up speakers all the way at the other end of the room. I would definitely recommend this to every court reporter.
