Description

As the most powerful microphone on the market, the HGM-1 will get you at least triple the audio pickup of the lesser microphones. Most computers and tape recorders come with an inexpensive microphone that will only pickup voices from 2 to 3 feet. There's a number of reasons for this, such as lack of power to the jack where you plug the microphone in. If your microphone doesn't use a battery, then its made for dictating (speaking within 2-3 feet of it). The HGM-1 utilizes a hi-power battery which lasts 600 hours and allows the microphone to actually track voices up to 45 feet away while filtering out background noise such as air conditioning & paper shuffling.

After reading the information about the Martel court reporter microphone, I was impressed with the hearing aid ic chip in the microphone. As a court reporter I need a microphone I can count on, and Martel came highly recommended from others, so I decided to try one.

This microphone has worked incredibly well for me for the last 10 years. I think I've changed the batteries on it three times and have never wanted to be without its exceptional quality while taking depos. Has been great for those soft speakers, foreign accents, and expert terminology.

I use two of these microphones on a daily basis for my digital recorders. They provide exceptionally clear recording in rooms that are not quiet. With this microphone, I am able to distinctly hear all attorneys and the witness at the conference table. Highly recommend this microphone for court reporters!

I have bought two of these microphones from Martel in the past. I used to have other mics similar, but they do not compare to a Martel mic. These have far better clarity and audio quality. I have also added the radio frequency reducer toggles which further help. I have never had a problem with these mics. I just bought the USB powered mic as my third one. Highly recommended!!
