The Problem
For
the past 20 years most companies who make police car camera in-car video systems were
using wireless microphones that are FM crystals radios. These unit
had a limited range usually in perfect conditions 150feet maximum.
They also had constant drop out or loss of signal. The reason is these
frequencies are jam packed with radio stations and a multitude of
people using them. The other draw back was that these companies microphone
systems were only 2 channels, and a corded lapel microphone that had
to be worn by the officer under their shirt. The cable was a nucence
and broke allot of the time also the microphone was the antenna so
it had to be stretched out to get good reception. That means when
ever 2 or more officers showed up on a crime scene the audio failed
on all the system due to interference. Years of bad audio has made
allot of police departments angry with the other companies, since
the police departments had spent on an average $4500 on these systems.
In conclusion the wireless microphones used in the past were for singing
and entrainment not for police work.
The Martel Solution
For
over 10 years Martel has been working on developing a police wireless
microphone system for use in their in-car video system. After an exhausting
engineering process and hundreds of pro types Martel has come up with
the perfect solution. The new Wireless Partner 800Mhz system has 16
channel and a built in microphone. You can wear it with a corded microphone
or with out depending on the officers preference. The audio transmitter
will send audio 1500 feet in all conditions and will activate the
record on the camera in the car and start recording. Along with it
superior range and 16 frequencies the transmitter also comes with
a desktop advance chargering unit which you will see below. The transmitter
is smaller than a badge and is 1/3 smaller than the tradional wireless
microphone system including from our competitors. The 16 channels
allow 16 officers to arrive on the same scene and not interference
with each others microphones. Since we are using the 800Mhz frequencies
there is little interference since these are mostly used by law enforcement.
Our competitors are shifting to 900Mhz or 2.4Ghz the problem with
these frequencis is that every home phone and wirless computer system
using these frequcnies, so the interfence will be constant. In conclcsion
Martel superior 800Mhz transmitter will ensure perfect audio for your
police department, when the audio is critical you have to have it
right the first time. Count on us we have been in business 47 years!
