The DS-5000IDPRO Version Digital Voice Recorder and AS-5000 Transcription Kit are designed for the professional Dictation person. The system allows for file transfer via an FTP server, automatic sending/receiving of files via e-mail, association of audio files and typed up document files, and entry of special data when downloading.

The DS-5000 is an advanced professional digital recorder stacked with premium features and enhanced DSS Player Pro Dictation software for outstanding performance. It's designed inside and out to provide you with all the conveniences you need for easy, flexible and productive dictation.

Here's how it works. You give your Doctor or user the Olympus DS-5000IDPRO Version and download cradle. Connect the cradle to an open USB port at their office. Every time the doctor sets the Olympus DS-5000IDPRO Version into the docking cradle it automatically Download the audio file and puts it into the predestinated file on the hard drive. After this is accomplished you have a couple of choice in retrieving it. First option to moving the file to you computer would be for some to email it to you as an attachment. Second choice would be for you to use the program called PC Anywhere to call the doctors computer and retrieve it without them touching their computer. The third option would be pc anywhere program on the doctors computer which would be set every night to dial out and connect with your computer and transfer what is ever in the doctors dictation file to you computer. Voice files can be recorded in two different recording qualities, including the new extremely high quality QP mode, enabling the perfect balance of quality and quantity to be selected personally.

For easy access to the most commonly used functions, three programmable smart buttons are available. Support of both SD and microSD memory cards means storage capacity is flexibly managed and can be extended at any time.

The Hi-Speed USB interface is compatible with USB Storage, Audio and HID classes to extend user options. Moreover, the DS-5000 also features a full duplex microphone and speaker. Centralised firmware updates are also possible with this model.

Ensuring the DS-5000 remains up-to-date even in years to come, a special I/O interface has been integrated, allowing plug-in modules of the future to be supported.
