Thought I'd let you know how much I rely on my Martel Hi Gain court reporter Microphone. As a court reporter I've been using it for depositions and hearings for about 7 or 8 years, and it helps me tremendously. I've found it to be totally reliable to pick up voices in any situation. I just reported a public hearing where the PA system was a little spotty and the speaker was about 75 feet from me. I have read allot of information and done a number of research about a court reporter microphones. I have a Elan Mira steno machine. I tried a number of so called court reporter microphones and decided to try the Martel court reporter microphone. Wow its is superior by a factor of 10 to all the microphones I have tried. The hgm1 court reporter microphone is the most powerful microphone I have ever tested. It can pick up a judges side bar 45 feet away. The NCRA should recommend it in the court reporter schools.
