This microphone has worked incredibly well for me for the last 10 years. I think I've changed the batteries on it three times and have never wanted to be without its exceptional quality while taking depos. Has been great for those soft speakers, foreign accents, and expert terminology.

I use two of these microphones on a daily basis for my digital recorders. They provide exceptionally clear recording in rooms that are not quiet. With this microphone, I am able to distinctly hear all attorneys and the witness at the conference table. Highly recommend this microphone for court reporters!

I have bought two of these microphones from Martel in the past. I used to have other mics similar, but they do not compare to a Martel mic. These have far better clarity and audio quality. I have also added the radio frequency reducer toggles which further help. I have never had a problem with these mics. I just bought the USB powered mic as my third one. Highly recommended!!

I have been using a Martel microphone with my laptop AudioSync for 10 years. The recording quality is excellent. I hope to keep using it for years to come. I have a little battery tester, but now they make one with the tester built into the microphone. I recommend this little microphone to court reporters for great audio!

I have ordered this Court Reporter Microphone before from your company. I think the quality of this mic is the best out there. It is true when it says, picks up voice from 75 feet away!!! I wouldn't want to be without this mic in my courtroom. Also, seems to still work quite well even though I've needed to change the batteries sooner. Please, please keep making this mic. Thank you.

This is the best microphone I've ever used. It's saved me many times during technical doctors' depositions where I want to double check that I've written the correct medical term. I would never report without this microphone!

I have been using my HGM-1 on my new Diamante machine for the last five months. It has worked wonderfully. Very clear recording. Today I ordered two more to use on my laptops in the courtroom and in chambers. The difference in the quality of recording from the microphone I have been using is phenomenal.

I've been using an HGM-1 for five years and have never been disappointed with the quality. Sounds very clear which can be helpful when people are talking over each other. I wouldn't leave home without it.

I have been using a Martel microphone with my laptop AudioSync for over seven years. The recording quality is excellent. You will not be disappointed by this product! I also just purchased the microphone stand. I've been clipping my mic to a business card and placing it in the center of the conference table, but I find sometimes attorneys will place their papers over it. This little gadget should alleviate that annoyance!

I've used other companies' microphones in the past. What a mistake! The HGM-1 is a great microphone that records clearly to my laptop so I can use the AudioSync in Eclipse. I also like that it has an on/off switch to conserve battery use. It's a great microphone for the money. I understand now there's even one with a battery life indicator. THAT will be my next purchase. But for the past two years and even now, this HGM-1 is still working great. I do recommend buying an extension wire (item #226) and filter ( item #1603) to go with it.

I use the HGM-1 microphone to record to my computer, and it makes a fabulously clear recording and has a good range. It's been worth every penny. I've recommended this mike many times to other court reporters. As long as you're careful with the cord and don't wrap it too tightly for storage, the microphone should last many years. I've had mine for maybe 10+ years.

I just purchased my second microphone after 6 years of use from my first HGM-1 microphone (or whatever the code number would have been at that time). The quality of sound is the absolute best in the industry, and it gives a very crisp, clean and clear recording. It's perfect for use with Steno machines.

I have had two of the HGM-2 microphones for at least five years each and have always gotten great recordings. The batteries last forever! And the bendable tripod that comes with it is really nice to get away from tapping fingers on the table being recorded.

This microphone works great. The battery lasts a long time and is not expensive to replace at all. The audio is amazing and picks up speakers all the way at the other end of the room. I would definitely recommend this to every court reporter.

This is a great microphone. I've had other mikes before but they don't compare in sound quality or durability. The price might throw you off, but it's worth every penny. Don't settle for the cheaper imitations.
