This is the second one I've ordered. The one I have still works fine, but I want to have a spare just in case. I just can't afford to be caught without it. I use it with both Express Scribe and For The Record. I suggested it to one of the court reporters I work with. She loves that it is plug and play. She's been reporting over 20 years and would never get one because she though it was too complicated. Surprise!

This USB2 foot pedal has more than paid for itself. I've been able to use it for multiple transcription clients, mostly with Express Scribe software. It has made it through thousands of hours of audio of sometimes poor quality, full of accents, etc., which has required a lot of backspacing and forwarding.

I have been a court reporter for over 20 years and have just found one of the most efficient ways to edit and complete transcipts so much faster. I purchased the foot pedal last week and just have ordered two additional ones for my office. If it helps me to do court reporting until I decide it's over, I'm all for it.

I have now 3 of these usb foot pedals I bought from Martel. The transcription foot pedal plugs directly into my computer and I use it with the express scribe to transcribe. The usb foot controller is a necessity for digital audio voice transcription.
