Lanier VoiceWriter 160T Standard Cassette Transcriber Efficient communication and executive time management are critical to a company’s success. Studies show that to communicate thoughts quickly, people can talk six-to-ten times faster than they can write. They can dictate three-to-five times faster than typing on a computer. And a typist can type from dictation 33 percent faster than from handwritten material. That’s why the Lanier desktop dictation units can help you save time and money. Lanier dictation products give you crisp, clear sound reproduction and the features you want in a top-of-the-line desktop dictation unit. Plus, they’re backed by the most experienced company in the business with trained sales, service and support experts nationwide and account managers located in every state to serve your voice product needs. Transcriber units (Part numbers that end with a "T") come with a foot pedal and headset. Dictaion units (part numbers that end with a "D" ) come with a microphone.

Key Features:
• Precise Document Queuing. With this control, you can signify the end of each document for your transcriptionist. You can also leave instructions for your transcriptionist to hear before your document is typed.
• Telephone Record. The Voicewriter 160 and 260 let you record telephone conversations so you can concentrate on the conversation, instead of writing down information.
• Conference Recording With this setting you can increase microphone sensitivity to record meetings or conferences.
• One-half Speed. Use this setting to double the cassette recording time up to two hours. standard Cassette/Microcassette. The Voicewriter 160 uses standard cassettes while the Voicewriter 260 uses microcassettes.
• Precise Document Queuing/Special instructions. When you rewind, the Voicewriter 160 and 260 will automatically stop at all special instructions a user has inserted. It also pauses at the beginning of each entry for quick location of documents.
• Recall. When you release the foot control, the tape automatically rewinds so you won't miss anything when you continue transcription. Rewind length is adjustable from no words to several words.
• Transcriptionist Display. A digital display tells you the total minutes of dictation on the tape.
• Volume. Tone and Speed Controls. All three can be easily adjusted for ease of transcription.
• Foot Control/Headset. A foot control allows for hands-free rewinding, fast-forwarding and listening. Choose from a variety of headset designs to best suit your needs. This unit comes with a headset, foot control, & power supply.
